A
newly renovated 8,000 square foot research
space on the UCF campus houses the Center
for Lifestyle Medicine. A floor plan
of the facility may be downloaded by clicking
here to download a PDF.
Included in this research space are facilities
and technologies to study the cardiovascular
system, cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular
strength and fitness, body composition
and nutrition. In addition, office
space is available for the Chairman, Director
of Research and additional faculty members
at the CLM at UCF. It is anticipated
that two additional faculty members will
be recruited in 2006 at the assistant/associate
professor level. For more information
about these available faculty positions,
visit the “open positions” section
of this website.
Additional space within the current CLM
at UCF Research facility contemplates adding
two or three additional faculty members
in 2007 or 2008, in appropriate areas depending
on research interests and needs. In
addition, space is available for graduate
students and post doctoral fellows. A
small teaching conference area is also
available within the CLM to teach students
at all levels of academic development.
